Our morning in Berunes is one of the most beautiful memories I have got from Iceland. We woke up in totally remote place, where there were only our four, a nice couple from Paris and hosts. Actually Berunes is an old farm located at the seafront. When you go outside you can admire wonderful landscape created by the fjord Berufjörður. The Old House was built by the grandparents of hosts over a hundred years ago and it has served as a hostel since 1973. If you ever go to Iceland, you must stay there at least one day! I really felt Icelandic vibe there. I mean, for the first time of our trip I totally felt that boundless space, silence, wind and smell of mountains around me.
I would love to come back there one day, the calmness of that place is a treasure.

Honestly, I don't know why I didn't take more pictures inside the house. Maybe I found myself there so peaceful and relaxed that I thought 'it's so beautiful here that taking photographs is unnecessary and shutter's sound may disturb this silence'. Luckily, I have these pictures in my mind and for sure it's one of those memories I will never forget. As websites say: "Guests will not find a TV or a clock there, it's not needed. However, they will find a collection of books, selected and given by our guests throughout the past 40 years." - and it is true.
Of course, you can see the clock on picture above, but you do not need to check time at place where time actually has stopped.

After breakfast, we decided to climb up these hills behind the farm.
Our 'settlement' from above. These rocks we were wandering on, made a home for at least seven waterfalls next to each other.
I have never seen so many colourful mosses and lichens before. Some of them created strange shapes and reminded me different things, like this lizard's head above ;)
We had to leave Berunes around noon and continued our trip further down to the south. We were driving all afternoon, but we made a few stops on our way, enjoying really breathtaking views.
Our tiny car surrounded by 'hostile' clouds in inconceivable wind ;)
Wszystkie zdjęcia pokazują urok tego miejsca ale siódme jest po prostu reklamą która mówi "tutaj jest dom dla Ciebie".
