2013 → 2014.

Writing a review of past year it's not the easiest thing for me. When I read other people's summaries I feel like I should have done more / should have spent more time on certain things and less on others. But now new 2014 has come and it is a good time to think about what I want to achieve in next 365 days.

2013 was a good year for me. A lot better than 2012, which I remember as a year of disappointment about place where I lived, people I met and shittiest job I ever had. So 2013 was a year of positive changes:
- we moved to Manchester city centre in February and so far I've been enjoying living here. I like it more than London, the city has just the right size for me when London seems to be overcrowded, dirty and too noisy. Of course there are a lot of things that I dislike here, but it is not a time to complain about them. It's still a heaven on Earth when I think back about Bury, where I unfortunately spent whole 2012.
- we quitted our pointless, mind-wrecking jobs and decided to live from our savings for a while. Peter did some voluntary work as a teacher, I spent some time trying new things and just enjoying life here in Manchester.
- we visited Iceland in May :) It was our first road trip ever and for the first time in our lives we travelled around a whole country, not across unfortunately but I can definetely say that we saw a lot :) I think we did more than 1300 km, I will have to check it.
- my good friend Kamila visited us in June and right after I found out that we won tickets to Download Festival. And we got them twice, so I sold one pair and earned 150 pounds extra :)
- thanks to the win above, last year I saw live: Alice in Chains, Amenra, Coal Chamber, Converge, Cult of Luna, Deftones, Graveyard, Hacktivist, Iron Maiden, Korn, Lana Del Rey, Limp Bizkit, Make Do And Mend, Mastodon, Motorhead, Parkway Drive, P.O.D., Queens Of The Stone Age, Rammstein, Sigur Ros, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Rosetta & The Naked And Famous. 24 concert for an equivalence of only 140 pounds! Definitely the best concerts' season I have ever had :)
- finally we found better paid jobs, of course it's nothing interesting and creative but I met a few nice people there and it's a lot better than working as waitress or in factory. We want to find better jobs in near future, but for now we have to stay there to save some money before a next big step.
- in September we rented our own flat and we really enjoy living without any flatmates! What a relief after all those freaks from the past.
- October was the month of visiting Poland for the first time in 8 months. I met a lot of my old friends from university, it was such a great meeting :)
- & in November I went alone to Amsterdam for 8 pounds only :)

For the first time in my life I started running (and I have to start again in spring), exercising a bit, I baked a carrot cake and oat cookies, I took up Excel course which I sadly stopped. But I tried some new things I had never done before.

For 2014 I want to:

* Eat more healthy. I think i eat better than most of people around me here in Manchester, but I know it I can reduce sweets and other snacks and replace them with more valuable food.
* Stop moaning, complaining and comparing myself with others. It is my life and I am creating it.
* Achieve some qualifications by continuing my work on AAT. I want a better job so I have to work on it.
* Improve my English
* Learn basic French
* Work out often, exercise a bit once a week
* Enroll to local library
* Read more books
* Spend less time online
* Wake up early
* Go for a walk and generally go outside at least once a week
* Take more photos of me, us and generally
* Write more on this blog, at least once a week
* Make new friends outside my workplace
* Visit a new place in the UK
* Go to Paris again
* Visit another continent.

It is a lot to do, but I want to change my life and be more proud of me with every day. Success does not come from doing nothing.
