I haven't been here for a long time. A lot happened, in a good way I think - we moved out from a small room and now live in a large two-bedroomed flat just 20 metres away. Work is ok, but it could be better and we know that we must find our way to realize our future dreams. In past months I visited Poland for the first time since February, I also spent a couple of days in Amsterdam at my friend's place. Now we have December and I am shocked how time flies this year. 2014 is coming, and I already have some plans for it.
I really hope that I will finish my Iceland adventure on this blog before New Year's Eve. It's high time to go ahead with this blog too.
So, our next stop in Iceland was Jökulsárlón - floating icebergs in glacial lake at feet of Vatnajökull. Definitely one of the most famous places in the country. A must-see for tourists, so it's better to go there early in the morning to avoid masses of people.
If you have watched Batman Begins, Tomb Raider or Die Another Day, you can find these pictures looking familiar to you.
Ice was in all shades of blue and white colour. But the most amazing were those crystal clear pieces thrown on black sand shore.
For sure there is something with dead birds in Iceland... Second dead swan (?) in just two days. Sometimes Mother Nature is cruel for innocent creatures.
You can take a boat ride on lake, but it was really expensive, like the most of activities in Iceland. For us, enjoying the view was enough. I was really pleased, but Peter said he had expected something more spectacular. I think he exaggerates sometimes ;)
